Compare soil cover, infiltration and pasture observations on a small farm.

## What to expect

Visit several demonstration plots and discuss ground cover, compaction and monitoring through the seasons. Small-group activities connect simple observations with realistic next steps for a property.

## Taking part

This sample activity is hosted by Red Gum Small Farms Network. Meet at Vale Creek demonstration paddock for an introduction before the activity begins. Bring drinking water, sun protection and footwear suitable for the setting.

Ask the organiser about access, task options and weather arrangements before attending. Different activity options can be discussed to support participation.
